The Girl I Met at ASU
I met a girl at ASU University.
At first, we were only friends. We laughed together. We studied together. We walked around the university. Every day, I was happy when I saw her.
Our friendship stayed strong for more than three years. She was not only my friend. She was my safe place. She knew my smile, my silence, and my dreams.
One day, our friendship became love.
We stayed together for one year and a half. Those days were beautiful. The university looked brighter. Every road was special because she walked with me. Every message made me smile. Every goodbye was hard because I wanted one more minute with her.
I thought our story would never end.
But one day, everything changed.
She said goodbye.
There was no big fight. There was no clear reason. There was no answer that made sense.
I asked myself many times, "Why?"
The only answer was silence.
After that day, ASU was not the same. The classrooms were still there. The trees were still green. The sun still came every morning. But my heart was different.
Sometimes I saw the places where we laughed. Sometimes I remembered the words we said. The memories stayed, but she was gone.
I learned that love can come quietly, and it can leave quietly too.
I still wish her happiness.
Maybe some stories are not made to last forever.
Maybe some people come into our lives to teach us how to love, how to smile, and how to be strong after pain.
She became a memory.
But she will always be a beautiful chapter in my life.
And every time I walk through ASU, my heart whispers,
"Thank you for the memories."
